What you will learn on the outdoor first aid course
Outdoor first aid course participants will be able to gain the knowledge they need for first aid in an easy and straightforward way. Dealing with the current EFAW course contents but also learning about the added subjects which include, hypothermia/heat related issues and Lyme disease. Theoretical and practical first aid training combined to give those attending confidence to deal with anything.

- First aid kits and bleed kits
- Airway Management
- Care of the Unconscious Casualty (DRCABCDE Approach)
- Resuscitation (2025 Guidelines)
- AED’s
- Choking
- Epilepsy and Seizures
- Shock (includes Anaphylaxis and use of Epipens)
- Wounds and Bleeding (Including catastrophic bleeding)
- Burns
- Hypothermia / Heat exhaustion / Heat Stroke
- Lyme disease
- Crush injuries
Assessment and certification
Certification for outdoor first aid is dependent on successful practical and written assessment and certification will be through the FAIB and are valid for 3 years.

1 day (7 hours including breaks)

All costs are fully inclusive of onsite training delivery, travel, first aid course materials, books and accredited first aid certificates.
