What is a defibrillator?
A defibrillator is a portable device used to deliver an electric shock which stops the heart fibrillating during cardiac arrest. Getting a defibrillator to a casualty within 3 minutes of a cardiac arrest is essential for their survival.
What does AED stand for?
AED stands for Automatic External Defibrillator. The process of applying a defibrillator can also be referred to as defib.
What is provided on the AED training course?
The 3 hour defibrillator training course is designed to train people to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in a cardiac arrest situation and provide basic life support (BLS).
Who is the defibrillator course suitable for?
The defibrillator training course is suitable and recommended for all First Aiders and anyone who would benefit from the knowledge and experience of using lifesaving defibrillator equipment.
What you will learn on the defibrillator course
This defibrillator course will enable successful participants to refresh their CPR and learn to use the defibrillator in a safe and controlled manner.
AED assessment and certification
The assessment will be question and answer based, along with student practice and scenarios. Upon successful completion of the defibrillator course, participants will be issued with a certificate valid for one year.

Fully inclusive defibrillator course
All costs are fully inclusive of onsite training delivery, travel, defibrillator course materials, books and defibrillator training certificates as part of the BLS (basic life support) training course.
