CPR/First Aid for School Children 2 hours
Course Description
Education Secretary, Damian Hinds has confirmed that first aid and CPR will be added to the school curriculum as part of the Department for Education's (DfE) plan to strengthen teaching of health, sex and relationships education in England from 2020. To help schools with this we can offer a short workshops to teach students CPR and basic first aid in a relaxed and safe environment.
Who is the course suitable for?
The sessions are suitable for all children from year 5
What you will learn
Participants will be able to learn vital skills in a practical and fun way giving them the confidence to help save lives and give first aid to those who need it.
Learning Outcomes
- Dealing with an Emergency/Calling the Ambulance
- Care of an unconscious casualty
- Recovery position
- Chain of survival
- CPR and use of an AED
- Choking
- Bleeding
Certification
Each student will receive a certificate of attendance
